呼吸器外科手術手技トレーニングカリキュラムを独自に作成し、実力ある外科医の養成に取り組んでいる。医師の働き方改革を重視し、医局員の職場環境、タスクシフト、勤務時間シフトの導入などに取り組んでいる。大学病院の外来機能の強化:初診予約システムの統一化、入院前支援の在り方、退院時支援のありかた、メディカルクラークの充実、医療連携センター運営委員会の再編成ミュンヘン大学胸部外科との人的・学問的交流
