ミクロデータ利用による情報サービス業の構造変化に関する数量的研究

九州経済と東アジア地域の相互依存関係に関する研究

地域経済を計量経済学の手法を用いて分析することを研究課題としています。実証分析はもちろんですが、地域分析のための分析手法に関しても興味を持っています。

　初学者が多種類の大規模データから特徴を読み取るための第一歩として、各種のグラフを素早く作成し、“目で見て”特徴を考えることです。つまり、”データの可視化”は、統計的な解析の前に行うべき作業です。　上記の作業で有益なソフトの一つがタブロー(Tableau)であると感じています。そこで、演習では統計的なデータ解析手法の学習に加えて、このタブローの使い方も極力取り上げるようにしています。幸い、情報教育センターにはタブローが導入されており、利用可能な環境が整っています。このことを通して、学生諸君が大量のデータの特徴を把握することに関心を持ってくれることを期待しております。実際、(的を得ているか否かは別として)学生諸君から色々な意見が出てきますので、私自身も教えられることも多々あります。
